My name is Chanel Payne, and I am a Sr. Audit Bill Revenue Analyst for Hilldrup. It all started when I was enrolled in an accounting class that had a program where you could get extra credit if you interviewed, got hired and worked in a corporate office. Not only did I get a part-time job at Hilldrup from that opportunity, but after I graduated I was hired as a full-time member of the team. Fast-forward 22 years later, I can’t imagine being anywhere else and am so thankful for the opportunities I’ve been given.

Today my primary job is to review short pays and audit payments received by our accounts, but because of my history here, I really am a jack of all trades and a resource for all of our team members. Have a question about an invoice? I can help. Need someone to jump in to help ensure driver contract paperwork is in order? I can do that too. Our team is behind the scenes, but our work helps ensure documentation is in order, the funds keep flowing, and the engine keeps running for our customers.

One of the things I think is so important in our work is taking time to build relationships. It’s a lot easier to get what you need when you need it with honey than with vinegar. I especially enjoy getting to know our drivers and am always willing to help them get their questions answered. I’m proud of the trust we’ve built between us.

Though I’ve been here a while, I’ve been impressed with how well we’ve adapted over the last couple of years as customer needs have changed. Expanding digital communications and finding other new solutions to make things easier reinforces that our goal to be the best moving services company is not just words, but something we truly take to heart. We’re willing to go the distance for our customers, and together, we keep moving.
