Hilldrup Charlotte Delivers Over 53,000 Books for Non-Profit, Promising Pages

Hilldrup Charlotte was pleased to assist our friends at local non-profit, Promising Pages, in delivering 53,610 books to students for their Books on Break program. Promising Pages collects new and donated books and distributes them to students and organizations with the goal of ensuring that every child has books in their household. They estimate that 60,000 children in the Charlotte area alone do not have access to books – an essential tool for them to grow academically.

Hilldrup has been a proud partner of Promising Pages, working with their team to bring books to those most in need, for several years. Especially in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, obtaining books and other learning materials in underserved neighborhoods was a challenge. One of the most essential programs of Promising Pages is their Books on Break initiative, which is designed to provide books for children from select Title 1 or underfunded area schools for students to enjoy when school isn’t in session.

Hilldrup’s own Scott Ayers, Director, Workplace Solutions – Charlotte, worked closely with the Promising Pages team to ensure that all 16 Charlotte schools who participate in the Books on Break program received their summer reading books.

We’re proud to continue our support of Promising Pages’ mission and we hope you’ll take a moment to learn more about their efforts and how you can help support today!
