Hilldrup Donates $1,000 to Stafford County Public Schools’ Collect For Kids Drive

As a supporter of Stafford County Public Schools, Hilldrup's Stafford headquarters donated $1000 for whatever back to school items were needed for local children.

Hilldrup was pleased to participate in Stafford County Public Schools’ (SCPS) Collect For Kids: Back-to-School Supply Drive! The annual event is an opportunity for individuals and organizations throughout the local community to give back by providing school essentials to students in need. This year, as our communities slowly emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic and students return to in-person instruction, we wanted to ensure that students had whatever they needed in the classroom to stay focused and prepared throughout the 2021-2022 school year!

Hilldrup has been a proud sponsor of the Collect For Kids event for several years. Typically, Hilldrup will serve as a drop-off spot for donations whereby our employees and individuals from the community can swing by our Corporate Headquarters in Stafford to drop off donated school supplies for later distribution. Of course, with the health crisis still being underway, Hilldrup instead donated $1,000 to the cause so that whatever items were still needed, or were at the top of kids’ wish-lists for back to school, could still be fulfilled. From hand sanitizer and tissues to glue sticks and college-ruled notebooks, we were happy to support this year’s Collect For Kids drive!

This year, the generosity of the community members and organizations who participated allowed SCPS to distribute approximately $45,000 worth of supplies to 33 schools and programs across Stafford County. Excellent job, everyone and thank you to those at SCPS who made this event possible! We hope every student, teacher and faculty member across the Stafford County Public School system has a safe and great school year!

In 2019, Hilldrup served as a donation site for Stafford County Public School’s Collect For Kids: Back-to-School Supply Drive (pictured above). While we’re unable to conduct a drive within our offices this year due to COVID, Hilldrup donated $1,000 to ensure that students across Stafford County could still have the supplies they need to feel prepared heading back to school.
