Commercial Operations Manager (Atlanta, GA)
Headquartered in Stafford, VA, Hilldrup is a moving and storage company with approximately 900 employees and 8 additional locations along the East Coast. Hilldrup began in 1903 as a small operation serving a single community. Today, we are one of the largest agents for United Van Lines, the nation’s largest and most respected van line. Hilldrup offers corporate clients, government agencies and residential customers local, long distance, international and commercial moving and storage services.
Hilldrup is seeking to hire a highly skilled, and experienced Move-Add-Change Services Operations Manager. This is a high-profile position within a Fortune 200 company, located in downtown Atlanta GA. The candidate we select will be required to provide a high-level of move services to our client. Which includes moving of furniture, office equipment, computer components, and event setups. The operations manager must be a highly charged and motivated professional. With exceptional organizational, and leadership skills.
Daily contact with Facility Managers, Project Managers, and Contract Administrators. Provide leadership, supervision and support to the install, set-up, and move teams. Directly supervise movers, installers and event set-up teams. Monitor, Prioritize and execute Work Orders within defined Service Level Agreements. Determines appropriate staffing levels and recruit appropriate candidates. Conducts performance reviews for all personnel in the department. Monitors and controls equipment and safeguards company assets. Responsible for safety compliance of all local drivers. Accountable for ensuring all work rules and policies, such as uniform compliance, are adhered to. Determines training needs for individual service providers. Responsible for communication of the Hilldrup Mission Vision and Values. Conducts regular crew meetings. Determines the root cause of any non-conformance's issued to local operations. Takes the necessary corrective and preventive actions that will remedy the non- conforming service. Monitors those results to ensure their effectiveness. Reports said actions to the General Manager in a timely basis.
Education: Four-year degree from an established, accredited university, preferably with a concentration in project and/or business management.
Experience: Eight to ten years Commercial Services experience. Four to five years of supervisory experience.
Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations: Valid driver’s license
Other Minimum Qualifications: Computer literacy; basic math skills; good communication and problem-solving skills; self-motivated. Strong attention to detail with excellent prioritization skills.
