Hilldrup Stafford Raises Over $53,000 for Rappahannock United Way
From campaign donations to fundraising events, Hilldrup’s Stafford team raised an incredible $53,759 during our 2018 campaign for Rappahannock United Way (RUW).
From campaign donations to fundraising events, Hilldrup’s Stafford team raised an incredible $53,759 during our 2018 campaign for Rappahannock United Way (RUW).
RUW has been an integral part of our local community for 75 years, and Hilldrup has been a proud supporter of their efforts throughout the years. RUW’s mission is to improve the lives of those in our local community where our team and customers work and live. Through donations, RUW is able to work hand in hand with local nonprofits to create and fund programs to assist those in need.
“Our total donation to RUW is the result of an incredible outpouring of care,” described Amanda Strawn, Team Lead – Expense & Compliance and Campaign Coordinator for RUW. “Thanks to everyone who participated, we were able to support funding that will host a variety of educational, health and financial stability programs for those in our community.”
Hilldrup’s United Way campaign began with our Kickoff Campaign, and support of our goal to “Live United” included a variety of fundraising events, including the following:
- Valentine’s Day Wine Raffle
- Employee Vendor Fair
- Book Drive
- Summer Carnival
- Baby Drive
- Crab Feast
- Basket Raffle
To celebrate our success, Janel Donohue, President of RUW; Grace Draper, Corporate Relationship Manager for RUW; and Ann Jones, Director of Resource Development for RUW visited our Stafford office. There, a check, with Hilldrup’s total campaign donation amount, was presented to several Hilldrup leaders.
We couldn’t have achieved this success without the hard work and dedication of our team. Thank you to all who generously donated throughout the year and to our RUW ambassadors for helping to coordinate and promote our various fundraising events. Special thanks to Amanda Strawn for organizing and leading these efforts between RUW and Hilldrup throughout the campaign!
We look forward to supporting RUW during their 2019 campaign and will continue to strive to exceed our campaign goals!
