Recently, Hilldrup participated in the Charlotte Metro Area Relocation Council’s Truck Pull event. The event directly benefited one of Hilldrup’s favorite non-profit organizations, Move for Hunger, which takes non-perishable items from those who are moving and no longer need them and disperses the food donations to local food banks in the local community.

The event, which took place at Lenny Boy Brewing Company, invited teams to compete to see who could pull a moving truck 100 feet in the fastest amount of time! The Hilldrup team knows a thing or two about moving – and moving trucks! – so naturally we were up for the challenge. A team of 10 Hilldrup employees gathered to pull together (literally!) in the spirit of the competition. We were proud to help raise nearly $12,000 and awareness for Move for Hunger.

Our team also wanted to come together for a reason close to the hearts of our Hilldrup family. Together, we wished to honor the memory and legacy of our late-GM/VP of Hilldrup Charlotte, Jim Myers, who recently passed away.

We appreciate our team who came together in support of Move for Hunger and to show our giving spirit in memory of Jim Myers. Great job, team!

We’re grateful for our Hilldrup team who came out to support this event and its cause, Move for Hunger. Great job, everyone!
