We’re thrilled to share that Wallace Wyatt has been recognized as a Winner of Van Operator of the Month by United Van Lines for June 2024, specifically in the East region! Wallace has been a valuable member of Team Hilldrup for 9 years, with 27 total years of experience in the industry.  Over that time, he has delivered service excellence, safety and quality both on and off the road.

Wallace’s recognition comes on the heels of Lonnie Orf being named Winner of Van Operator of the Month by United Van Lines for May 2024.  Having back-to-back winners is a testament to the dedication of our team.

Wallace loves meeting and interacting with different people as part of his job.  This has even included some “undercover” people.  Wallace was a part of the Undercover Boss TV show that featured United Van Lines, and he moved a “customer” that was included in the show.  Talk about the unknown pressure to deliver excellence!

Of course, the metrics needed to qualify and win Van Operator of the Month are no small feat!

To qualify for Van Operator of the Month, a Van Operator must meet or exceed a range of statistical criteria that encompasses the Van Operator’s performance. To be eligible for this accolade, the Van Operator must:

  1. Be qualified in the UniGroup system, the parent company of United Van Lines, for the previous 12 months;
  2. Log more than 25,000 miles in the previous 12 months;
  3. Must be a 1-Rated van operator at time of selection;
  4. Earn a Safety Performance Rating (SPR) rating of at least 10,000;
  5. Have no more than 6.0 total points in VTOP, or Van Operator Total Performance, as part of an online system that keeps track of Van Operators SPR points and overall rating and
  6. Have zero Compliance, Safety and Accountability (CSA) points in last 12 months and less than 30 CSA points for past two years.

This isn’t the first time Wallace has been recognized for his efforts. He was named Hilldrup’s 2023 Van Operator of the Year at our Best of the Best Awards in February of 2024. He was praised for going after any job in front of him – no matter what’s required, where it’s located or what team is supporting him on the road.

In addition to Wallace, 20 of Hilldrup’s other Van Operators were recognized as Honorable Mentions for May. We are so thankful for each and every one of these outstanding team members who make serving our customers possible each day.
