Thanks to our customers, clients, fans and employees, Hilldrup has been honored as the 2023 Best of the Burg’s Best Moving Company and Best Place to Work! This is now the 8^th year in a row that Hilldrup has been named as the Best Moving Company in Fredericksburg and the second time we’ve been named Best Place to Work.

The annual online competition, hosted by Fredericksburg.com, began with a nomination process from February 8 – March 1. In a variety of business and service types, voters could nominate one business or name per category during the nomination period for who they felt was truly the best in the Burg. We were excited to move forward to the voting round of the competition, which ran from March 29 – April 19, and which followed the same process and rules as the nomination period.

These accolades are always heartfelt as they’re decided on by those we serve and employ every day. Being voted as the Best Moving Company reaffirms the commitment that we each have to our vision to simply be the best moving company, period. Of course, this goal can’t be reached without our people. It’s why we strive to hire, train and retain the very best professionals in the industry and support them through a culture of recognition as well as through excellent benefits that promote each employee’s health, personal wealth and much more.

On May 22, the Best of the Burg competition hosted an awards event at Fredericksburg’s Riverside Center where the names of the winners were announced in-person. Hilldrup’s Mary Katherine Wood, Residential Sales Consultant, and her son, Mike Wood, Relocation Consultant, attended and accepted the accolades of our behalf.

Thank you to all who have made Hilldrup’s success possible since we began serving the Fredericksburg region in 1903. Our growth is only possible thanks to the clients and customers who call on us to serve them – and it’s our honor and privilege to have been doing so for 120 years!

Co-workers Mike Wood, Relocation Specialist, and Mary Katherine Wood, Residential Sales Consultant, attended the 2023 Best of the Burg awards event at Fredericksburg’s Riverside Center. The mother-son duo has worked at Hilldrup together for years, and represented us as the winner of the Best of the Burg’s Best Employer at the event as well!
