A lot of things can change over the course of 55 years for a business – including its look and location – but at Hilldrup, for 55 years our Stafford branch has been a proud, steadfast agent of United Van Lines.
Our Stafford branch, which also serves as our corporate headquarters, had humble beginnings that weren’t located in Stafford originally but rather, in Fredericksburg, VA – just 15 miles south of Stafford. Founded in 1903, Hilldrup began as a horse and carriage transportation company, and in the 1950s our business narrowed its focus and expertise to exclusively offer moving and storage services throughout the local area. Less than 15 years later, Hilldrup partnered with United Van Lines, which continues to be recognized as the largest van line in the world. Through this partnership, Hilldrup was able to significantly expand our service area and discover new markets where additional Hilldrup locations are today!
Hilldrup’s success and its ability to prosper in these new markets has been in huge thanks to our partnership with United Van Lines, our dedicated team throughout the years, and of course – our loyal customers!
Recently, Hilldrup Stafford was presented with a plaque from United Van Lines commemorating our 55-year partnership. We’re proud of all that we’ve accomplished with United – congratulations to our Stafford team on these past 55 years with United, and here’s to the next 55 years!
