Yearly Art Refresh Livens Up Hilldrup’s Corporate Headquarters

We were excited to welcome new art from the students in Stafford County Public Schools to decorate our Corporate Headquarters.

It’s the time of year we all look forward to – spring has sprung, and with it comes new artwork adorning the hallways in our Corporate Headquarters thanks to students from Stafford County Public Schools.  Since 2019, Hilldrup has enjoyed a partnership with Stafford Schools’ art department whereby 25 pieces of student artwork are selected and hung in our office for employees and visitors alike to enjoy.

The artwork, selected by Deirdra Hazeley, Coordinator of Visual and Performing Arts, is switched out on a yearly basis in the spring.  We hold an art show each fall for the student artists and their families to see their masterpieces, celebrate and learn a bit more about Hilldrup.

“I chose pieces that were vibrant to catch people’s attention. Hopefully, visitors to Hilldrup will take time as they walk through the hall to see the joy, humor and artistry in the students’ creations,” said Deirdra.

Selecting and changing out the artwork takes time as each piece is framed, along with the name of the student artist, their grade level and art teacher. Deirdra completed this process in late April, and the artwork that was taken down will be returned to the students, who range in grade level from Pre-Kindergarten to 12th grade.

We are thankful for our partnership with Stafford Schools and their talented students who help liven up our office. In the process, we’re glad we can provide students real world opportunities to showcase their art.

We love walking down the most colorful hallway in our building, admiring the work of these talented student artists. Bravo, and thank you to Stafford County Public Schools art department and their students!
