Jose Espinal Recognized by United Van Lines as Winner for East Region
Congratulations to Jose on his continued recognition by United Van Lines!
Congratulations are in order once again for industry veteran and multi award-winning Van Operator, Jose Espinal! Jose was most recently recognized by United Van Lines as the Winner for Van Operator of the Month for December in the East Region.
Jose began his career as a Van Operator in 2000 and joined Hilldrup in 2005. Since then, Jose has been recognized multiple times by United Van Lines as a Winner or Runner-Up for Van Operator of the Month. He was also honored by Hilldrup as our Van Operator of the Year for 2021 based on his outstanding Van Operator performance which included metrics related to quality, safety, claims, total miles driven and more.
To qualify for Van Operator of the Month, a Van Operator must meet or exceed a range of statistical criteria that encompasses the Van Operator’s performance.
Specifically, the Van Operator must:
- Be qualified in the UniGroup system, the parent company of Mayflower Transit, for the previous 12 months;
- Log more than 25,000 miles in the previous 12 months;
- Must be a 1-Rated van operator at time of selection;
- Earn a Safety Performance Rating (SPR) rating of at least 10,000;
- Have no more than 6.0 total points in VTOP, or Van Operator Total Performance, as part of an online system that keeps track of Van Operators SPR points and overall rating and
- Have zero Compliance, Safety and Accountability (CSA) points in last 12 months and less than 30 CSA points for past two years.
Out of hundreds of Van Operators who make up the United Van Lines’ network, Jose’s repeat wins are a testament to his dedication to our customers both on and off the road. Congratulations Jose on your continued success – we’re honored to have you as part of Team Hilldrup!
