Hilldrup Hits the Road to Move UVA EVP and COO, Jennifer “J.J.” Davis

It’s not every day that Hilldrup’s custom University of Virginia (UVA) Cavalier Football truck and trailer hit the road. But, when you’re moving Jeff and Jennifer “J.J.” Davis to Charlottesville, VA, it’s a must-have piece of equipment. J.J. Davis currently serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of UVA – the first woman to hold this position at the University – and it was Hilldrup’s honor to officially move her and the Davis family to Charlottesville.

J.J. was appointed by UVA President James E. Ryan (who Hilldrup also had the honor of moving!) last year and was approved by UVA’s Board of Visitors to serve as EVP and COO. Previously, J.J. served as the SVP for Administration & Finance at George Mason University located in Fairfax, VA. When it was time for J.J. and her family to move, our team headed to Northern Virginia to start packing and preparing the Davis family’s items to be moved. Our crew was comprised of four dedicated service team members who were able to pack, load and deliver everything over the course of just three days total – a day to pack, one to load and another to deliver.

“The team pushed hard to get it done,” explained John Lohmeyer, Director, Residential Sales and Agency Relations, who oversaw the move from beginning to end. “After unpacking everything there were no scratches, dings, chips or broken items. It went flawlessly – both Jeff and J.J. were very happy with the move!”

We’re honored and grateful to have had the opportunity to move the Davis family to Charlottesville and wish them all the best in their new home – go Hoos!

Thank you to the Davis family for your trust and confidence in our team to move you to Charlottesville, VA. We were thrilled to help welcome you to your new home!
