Celebrating Brenda Harless with a Retirement Dinner Event

Brenda Harless’ career with and impact on our organization was celebrated with a dinner party in Richmond, VA.

Together with close friends, family and colleagues, we were honored to celebrate Brenda Harless and her impactful career on the Hilldrup organization. Brenda, who retired in May 2023, dedicated 34 years of service to Hilldrup and an incredible 59 years of service to the moving and storage industry. The heart of our Richmond, VA branch as its Administrative Manager, we toasted to Brenda’s career and success as she ushers in a new chapter!

Taking place at Buckhead’s Restaurant and Chop House, Brenda’s retirement dinner truly felt like a family affair. From her award-winning Richmond team (many of whom she helped hire and train) to her own children, grandchildren and her great-grandson who were in attendance – our love for Brenda was clear!

In overseeing multiple functions and departments out of our Richmond branch since Hilldrup acquired it from W.G. Cosby in 1989, several guests spoke of Brenda’s dedication to her job and family. Speakers included Brenda’s son, Paul Freeman and granddaughter, Traci Freeman as well as Hilldrup’s Barry Dodson, Steve Norton, Leah Abbey, Thomas Leachman, E.J. Radford and Harold Wood.

We enjoyed the opportunity to share our love and appreciation of Brenda with her closest friends, family and colleagues over cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and dinner!  On behalf of all of us at Hilldrup, we wish Brenda all the best in retirement and are thankful for the countless ways that she has helped build Hilldrup to who we are today!
