Recently, a group of Hilldrup Stafford employees attended Rappahannock United Way’s 2018 Campaign Celebration in recognition of the extraordinary fundraising campaigns of businesses throughout the Fredericksburg area.
The luncheon was hosted at the Jepson Alumni Executive Center in downtown Fredericksburg, VA, thanks to sponsorships that made the event possible. There, our team represented Hilldrup Stafford’s efforts to raise as much money and awareness as possible for the Rappahannock United Way (RUW) during the 2018 campaign year. RUW’s impact focuses on three main areas: Education, Financial Stability and Healthy Living for those in our local area.
Hilldrup was proud to have raised a grand total of $53,759 for RUW during our 2018 campaign, inspired by RUW’s campaign theme of, “Race to the finish!” Businesses and donors were recognized by Janel Donohue, Rappahannock United Way President, in a variety of categories during the campaign celebration.
Hilldrup Stafford’s own Amanda Strawn, Team Lead-Expense & Compliance and Hilldrup RUW Campaign Coordinator, was specifically recognized twice during the luncheon! Amanda was awarded the Employee Campaign Coordinator (ECC) of the Year for the business category of 251 – 1,000 employees as well as the fun category of “Teacher’s Pet” during the event. Amanda overcame a particularly challenging hurdle during the campaign: hosting events and rallies at our Stafford Corporate Headquarters during our ongoing renovations. Thanks to Amanda’s agility, communication and positivity, Hilldrup’s campaign was not only successful but recognized and praised during the event. We couldn’t be more proud of Amanda’s leadership and efforts throughout the campaign, and we’re so glad she was honored for her tireless work!
Thanks to the local community’s efforts in the 2018 Workplace Campaign, an incredible $1.8 million dollars was raised in total for RUW!
