Hilldrup & Rocket Mortgage Help Benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation’s World Wish Day
Hilldrup and Rocket Mortgage hosted our second annual World Wish Day as a way to get together with friends and colleagues to give back!
The Make-A-Wish Foundation has been granting life-changing wishes to children fighting critical illnesses for over 40 years and has granted more than 520,000 wishes worldwide. This year, Hilldrup and Rocket Mortgage hosted our second annual World Wish Day, celebrated on April 29, as a way to get together with friends and colleagues to give back on the anniversary of the wish that inspired the Make-A-Wish Foundation itself!
Carrie Takamatsu, Director, Global Business Development, and Rocket Mortgage’s Lisa Fontana, Senior Account Executive for Relocation Services, co-hosted the virtual event. Together, Carrie and Lisa invited colleagues and prospects across the mobility industry to join us for one of two virtual sessions.
Prior to the virtual event, each attendee received a Sugarwish gift where they could select a treat – including candy, cookies or popcorn – to be mailed to them ahead of the virtual discussion. While enjoying their sweet or savory treat, Hilldrup and Rocket Mortgage encouraged our colleagues to talk a bit about their company and share with us what they “wished” to accomplish with their mobility programs in 2022.
Carrie and Lisa led some the discussions and provided time for questions and networking to share advice on any challenges participants were having with their mobility programs. We were inspired to make our colleagues “wishes” come true with what they envisioned for their organization while also giving back in the spirit of World Wish Day.
Hilldrup and Rocket Mortgage made a donation of $25 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation for each corporate professional who attended one of our two events. There were a total of 24 corporate attendees, representing 18 different companies between the two virtual events, creating a grand total of $600 donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation from Hilldrup and Rocket Mortgage ($300 each)!
The donations were tripled by the Make-A-Wish Foundation in honor of World Wish Day. These donations help provide amazing and fun opportunities for children facing serious illnesses, so we couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who made these donations possible!
