There’s no doubt that the men and women who protect, defend, and support our local community deserve our greatest thanks for their selflessness and heroism. Recently, Hilldrup was honored to sponsor an event hosted by the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce to do just that! In late August, the Chamber celebrated its 6^th Annual First Responders Appreciation Breakfast and Awards event in Fredericksburg.

The First Responders Breakfast and Awards reception invited those who swear to protect and defend our communities – from fire fighters to police officers to emergency medical personnel (EMS) – to thank them for all that they do. Attendees came from several Virginia districts, including Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania, Fredericksburg and Stafford. The event was held at the Fredericksburg Expo & Conference Center, where attendees gathered to enjoy a breakfast buffet and hear from keynote speaker Lieutenant Governor of Virginia, Winsome Earle-Sears.

The awards presentation was a highly anticipated part of the event. Attendees, including a handful of Hilldrup employees who were honored to attend as part of our sponsorship, had the opportunity to hear some of the incredible stories and successes of the first responders who were being honored. Awards were presented for the following categories: Heroism, Excellence in Criminal Investigation, Investigative Merit and the Citizen Valor Award. Congratulations to all, it was an honor to witness your recognition!

We were excited for the opportunity to sponsor the event and appreciate that several of our employees were able to attend to not only represent our organization, but also join the community in thanking our heroic first responders for all they do!

The event featured keynote speaker and Lieutenant Governor of Virginia, Winsome Earle-Sears, (pictured above) who delivered an inspiring message to those in attendance and helped recognize the event’s award winners.
