With 40 years of service to Hilldrup, we couldn’t let Randy Rantz, retired Senior Vice President – Operations, depart our organization without a celebratory dinner to thank and honor him for all he’s done for our team and customers. Randy retired at the end of 2021 after a total of 50 years of service to the moving and storage industry. Current Hilldrup leaders, fellow retirees, friends and family of Randy’s all gathered at La Petite Auberge in downtown Fredericksburg, VA to celebrate his career and legacy.

Randy began his career in the moving and storage industry in April 1972 with Zenith Van and Storage and joined Hilldrup in May 1984. He first began with us as a Quality Control Assistant and held a variety of positions throughout his career. These included serving as Local Dispatcher, Local Operations Manager, Long Distance Operations Manager, and Vice President of Operations before his most recent role as Senior VP of Operations. Working in the moving and storage industry, it’s not surprising that Randy hasn’t spent a summer away from our organization or serving our customers for several decades! In fact, his unwavering commitment to Hilldrup, our Operations team and our customers recently earned Randy Hilldrup’s 2021 Charles G. McDaniel Award of Excellence.

The dinner celebration was the perfect opportunity to welcome all those who have worked closely with Randy, and supported him, through the years. We were happy to host this event as a way to truly celebrate Randy’s success, impact and legacy on our organization. Thank you, Randy for your leadership and friendship to so many of us at Hilldrup. We wish a relaxing and well-deserved retirement!
